Do you love big bluegill?
Only 2 1/2 weeks untill retirement and I'm a little scared. Have worked ever since I was in high school. I cannot imagine not having to get up with the alarm clock. 35 years with the Army civilian work force. Have thought about this all my life but now it is a reality in which the concept of being a fishing Bumm is real close and I don't really know if I can handle the off time...What do you guys and gals think....I think YYYAAAAHHHHOOOOOOOO I'm as free as Bluegill junkie can be...have a trip planned as soon as I get outta here..Maybe a trip up north or south maybe to the east or out west...Now that could be a problem.......LOLRITF

Trust me, you'll get used to the freedom of retirement real fast. Then, after a bit, you will probably be so busy doing things you'll wonder how you ever had time to work, raise kids, do yard work, whatever.
Just enjoy it, and congrats!

congrats. you've been freed from the demands of soceity. now you da man. enjoy!
Yeah Vic, I've got 3 or 4 more years to go, and I have some concerns too. For one thing, I don't want to be a "Wal Mart Greeter", but the way the economy is, who knows what I'll end up doing. I do know one thing.... I hate getting up at 5:30 in the morning and then work 10 hour shifts!
Amen to that. Get up when you want, do what you want, do it anytime you want. Hope it works out for you.
My last four days at the Depot and I am going to Orlando to a cousins house to bass fish, yep the lesser of all fish,,LOL...he has about 20 great little lakes around his house and he sends pictures almost every day of fish over ten pounds he is catching using topwater and flukes..know me , gotta go I guess.. I thank all of you guys who has posted and wish you too could retire with me and go fish...appreciate all of your post...thanks Vic
