I currently fish with more line-type and setups than different baits. My current jig inventory is down to (3) or (4) different jigs and Gulp Pink Waxies for 90% of my fishing trips.

How deep do you dropshot Slip and why do you use braid? For toughness against snags and pulling out hooks i reckon.
I have been vertical Jigging 15-18 feet this year and doing well with the less stretch Pline copolymer. I rarely find myself fishing deeper than 20 feet on bottom in the three or four lakes I've been fishing. Only problem is getting cut off by pickerel while trying to control the boat .
i find myself drop- shotting mostly during the summer periods... the thermoclines usually settle in on the lakes at about 17'... so i usually drop shot as a rule no greater than 15'
* the correct name is Apex Shad 1.0" I originally called it Apex Minnow
