Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Say hello to my little friends......I removed the business ends, and I'm about to ship them out to my favorite lure guy for re-painting.

The last of the old stock.....only a few left at overstockbait.com

Bill, you ever tried the perch spoons from bps?

Wow!  Those already look like great colors.  What color(s) are you having them painted?  I re-painted some of my Skeeter spoons, just to see if they prefer a certain color.  Did them as  black w/blue sparkle, green & black, and baby shad colors.  Don't know how well they will work, still a little early to try them.  Hard to beat the "hot mackerel" color though.  Black should be a good color, with all the black things found in their stomachs.

Well now my curiosity is up - why dont you re-paint them yourself?

and I wonder - where can you get some of those teeny little rattle chambers?

David, you can find those little glass rattles from Jann's Netcraft.  Just epoxy them in place.

Thanx, Jeff!

I met a very talented lure guy from Chicago named Rick Garcia.....he can really paint, and my last few large spoon orders from the dwindling stock only contained holographic shad, and hammered neon stripe....very good colors nonetheless....however, some of the large, deep, clear waters I fish have a forage base that mainly consists of young of the year perch...thus my need for perch pattern spoons.....only 20 of the few hundred I own will be painted.

Yeah, Rick sure can paint.

So which would your color of choice be between the two left?

Of course one is hammered and one isn't, so there is a difference there too.

Ah, the heck with it, I ordered several of each.
