Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Well starting to get ready for colder nights around here. During the winter months, I tie jigs to keep fishing spirt going. If anyone has some Ideas on jigs, I would appreciate it. Would to see pics of what you are fishing with.

Thanks

Dwayne

I was thinking of our weather coming up myself, and i came up with an idea i never tried or dont have a pic for. But here it goes get yourself some 1/16 or 1/32 oz pink or chartreuse jig heads and a jar of berkeley gulp worms, then cut off a quarter inch of the worm then slide it on the hook. I know it seems a lil dull but here's the kicker, get your self some pink or chartreuse rubber skirt that they make spinner bait skirts with, then tie it to a needle and run it horizontal thru the worm above or below the hook to make lil legs that come out each side, then run 1 thru the back bottom part of hook to create a rubber fly look, dont forget to trim the access. Thats what i came up with, if you make this post a pic of how it came out or worked out, if not it's ok i will get around to it sometime!
Check out JigCraft.com, lot's of great info on tying BG & RE jigs.
Thanks Jason and LedHed for the info. Jason what you are talking about sounds like a bream bug. I will try to post pics and let you see, if that is it.
