Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I finally got to spend a stress free weekend catching blue gill.

Two weeks ago I spent the weekend in a cabin in a peacefull cove fishing for blue gill. I don't get to do that very often, and they were not very big, but it's the most relaxing thing I have ever found. I would love to retire and enjoy it full time. Fish on.

Nice to hear Russell.
Hey Russell...what an astounding insight to what is real and true.

I work as a park ranger, and my employers have just this week offered alot of us an early retirement incentive if we take it by Jan 1 st. It's not much, and I would have to work at least part time to get by. But the thought of it is compeling, and I have to make a decision by Oct 30.

I wish I had the wisdom to make the right decision. I'll just hope and pray for the best.

thanks Jim
I can relate to that. I work shift work and have the luxury of having weekdays off. I am new to float tube fishing and went several weeks ago and fell asleep on the water, after a few minutes and gathered senses I laughed and kept on fishing.......I decided not to retire a short time ago and stay a few more years.....lighten up on the workload and fish more, sounds good to me.
Wow, a stress-free weekend! Where do I sign up to get one of those? :D

Sounds like a wonderful weekend! If you have any pics of the cabin/cove/fish, I'm sure we'd all love to see them. I'd love to retire and enjoy that, too. In a lot of states, one can buy a lakefront house (or at least a cottage) in many areas for less than an ordinary house costs here in California, so it might happen someday :)
Good for you Russell. All of us dream of days, weekends and weeks like that. Enjoy every day on the the water, they come so few.
