Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I want to apologize for dropping out of that discussion on telescopic poles. I did read everything, the last post being in April, but i didnt want to say anything because I knew I wasnt going to be able to respond.

The computer in my house bit the dust. At the same time, T-Mobile discontinued service on the Sidekick, which is what most of us Deaf people use, and i had to change over to the new Droid Sidekick, which is an awesome piece.

I am an electrical contractor and have been extremely busy over the past 6 months (praise God for that, because most companies are folding).

Anyway, We had to raise our home because of the flood insurance. We were paying over $4,000 a year between homeowners and flood insurance. Now, with the house raised, its about $1400.

My boat and all the stuff had to be moved and it is packed in at a family member's home.

At the same time, we had those high waters in the Miss. River, and they had to open Bonnet Carre' Spillway. I tell ya, it looked like one massive lake. Took FOREVER for the water level to go down.

In the meantime, I was able to fish maybe four or five times in the Manchac Swamp and caught bass, but no sacalait or perch. Lot of people were trying find Tchoupique to sell the eggs to the Asian restaurants. Those are ugly fish!!!

When things got back down to normal, I went out to the spillway on my 85 GS550 and played around out there a few times. Nobody is catching fish....BUT, they dont know what they doing. They are going all the way down to the lake, and the fish are right across by the boat launch, i have caught 3lb sacalait there..probably 10 of them that big.

When i get that boat out, I am going to take myself and my Crappie Grabber 10' telescopic poles and teach my Cajun brethren house to fish.

God bless

The telescopic pole is the most deadly fishing weapon known to man : ) - you go show em'.

I am a massive fan of the cane-style pole.
