Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Here is a sample of the 60 fish two of us caught today...using worms and i also had one of my new ties.... a copy of the "bream killer" tied on a 1/32 oz. in yellow, white, black and brown. also had good luck on gills on my first try using these jigs the other day.

Nice fish and jig. Did you fish it under a float or tight line?

Thanks Keith......I was tight lining with sinker on bottom, hook and worm but tied  jigs to line drop shot style, caught half of the fish on the jigs...no bait.

30 fish on that jig?
I'd sure like to get a few details on tying it!

daveid, two of us got 60 fish, my fishing buddy caught fish too, he was only using worms, half of my fish were on the jigs but i will get the link to the youtube video on the "bream killer" fly that i followed to tie the jig.

Nice job. Those two large ones are pumpkinseeds I think......anybody agree?

Yup...the two big, purdy ones are 'seeds.
