Going to New Orleans tomorrow, any easy access fishing spots?
I'm going to New Orleans tomorrow, and my girlfriend is running a marathon. I was thinking about taking a pole, because i might have some spare time. If i do i wouldn't mind wetting a line. Anyone know of any easy access spots there?

Try New Orleans city park : Diagonal Dr. and Harrison Ave. Start at the Harrison Ave end and work your way down Diagonal Dr. find everything on Google maps first .

I was going to suggest the same, City Park lagoons. I have caught some nice panfish and bass in those ponds. Great for fly fishing if you are into that. This is a big male Texas Blue I caught on a tiny fly in the lagoon by the concession building.
