Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I have mine done by Rich Benedict in Upstate NY.  Rich owns Angling Artisans Unlimited.  He does fantastic work.

Although the photos don't do them justice, here are a few samples of his work:

Looks good. What fish or fishes did this guy do for you? I'm considering having a salmon done by a guy out west.

There are more replica artist out there now and many are very good and expensive. Still, gotta research your artist just like you would check out a taxidermist.

How big is that jumbo?

Jimvision,

Rich did a 6-4 Smallmouth for me that came out fantastic.  I am also having him do a large Bluegill Hybrid for me right now.  He actually specializes in trout and salmon.  Here's a link to the Coldwater Gallery on his site:

No idea how big that jumbo was, as it was taken from his site.   I know several other people who have used Rich for their replica mounts, and they are all extremely happy with the results.

Thanks for the link.
Wow! Beauitful! Perfect for release big panfish and you still have big panfish on the wall! Do they have website and information for in the future that I might want big panfish on my wall when I relesse alive fish back to water!

John,

That is exactly what thrills me about this.  I released the 10 3/4" Bluegill Hybrid that I caught recently, but a nearly perfect replica will be on my wall in a few months.  I hope Bruce doesn't mind me posting this, but here is the link to the website:

I have no affiliation with the taxidermist/artist other than he has done GREAT work for me.

There are several really good fish replica artists available, one is BigBluegill member Tim Overbaugh.  My Wisconsin friend Joshua Knuth does awesome work also:

Tim's work is fantastic.  Thanks for sharing the link.

I have to say, I've seen a lot of Rich's and Joshua's work and they are among two of my favorites for doing fiberglass replica mounts.
Beautiful work! Can't wait to see that hybrid monster mount Mike
