i like power pro, very sensitive

Not for me. I've never bothered. Generally, I run a 2 or 3 pound fluorocarbon line in the fishes face.

I like Power Pro as well, but for panfish is just use p-line floroclear in 2-4#. Floro sinks better and you don't have to worry about using a leader to the other line. My 2 cents.

I've got some 10 lbs test PowerPro on a couple spinning rigs, one is a rather light pole that I use frequently for Panfish, as well as many of species.  It's pretty darn thin, about the same diameter as 4 lbs test mono.  I typically use either mono or fluoro leader, to help hide the line from the fish.  Most of the time, my water is rather murky, so I'm not terribly worried about the fish spooking because of the line.

I've seen PowerPro in 6 lbs test and 4 lbs test.  That stuff is like hair!!!  Extremely thin.

I also have 10 # PP on a couple of small spinning reels.  I primarily use them to fish Bitsy Minnows.  I use an 8 # mono leader about 4' long.  Others spinning reels have 6 # test mono crappie line in high vis yellow...Generally fish with 1/16 oz. jigs...

Heck ya, 4# Power Pro or 4# NanoFil with a 2-4# fluoro or mono leader for casting tiny jigs or jigging spoons. Not absolutely necessary, but certainly works well if you decide to.

Bought Nanofil 2 lb. At $20 for 150 yds this stuff better work. I still will probably use Trilene XT Solar for 90% of my fishing. Can see it so well.  Probably have  10000 yds. of the stuff in 4lb (bought all I could ) -- now they're making it again in 4-8 lb.

Definitely a braid fan. Love how you can feel the smallest tap. I always use the same strength of flouro as my braid for a leader. I start out with 8 ft of leader and when it gets down under 3 ft I toss it out.

I carry 4 rods at all times in my yak. 2 with 20 lb(bass/redfish) and 2 with 10 lb(gills/crappie/ trout).

We just have too many pickerel & mudfish around here for lighter lines.
