Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

 I'm still chuckling from some of the things that happened at Reelfoot, and didn't want yall to forget about our next one  so this the status we have for the next Rendezvous, Location :  Kentucky  Lake in Tennessee,  Date : in April 2015.  We have chosen this because it is centrally located in the country, and it is before it gets too hot ,some of  our members cant handle the heat too well, everything is penciled in right now but we will set it into ink in early January . We are looking at a State park around Camden Tn as our get together point. So start planning, sharpen you hooks , set aside time to come because we plan on having even more fun than we did last fall . It was so much fun to get together with the people we talk to here on Bluegill Big Bluegill, and it's a hot bed of transfer of bluegill knowledge. Make plans to be there in 2015 , I know I will be there it's too much fun to miss , If you have any suggestions please feel free to let us hear them , we want this to be another success. LOFR

Seeing that I just  found out about this, how are these events held?  Is it a 2,3, or 4 day event, and starting which days?

Marty, we will get there on Friday , and have fun and fish through the weekend and leave on Sunday, but you can come early and stay past Sunday if you wish. We had lots of fun at the last one , and everyone is looking forward to the next one , already have several conformations for the next one this Spring. You need to come , it's fun.    P.S.  I use to have to go to Denver NC , I worked for a company that built asphalt equipment there, small world .    LOFR

Denver ,NC is where we are buying our next house, and will hopefully close on Dec. 12th

HEY LOFR  the dates sound good to me buddy ..............Thanks for the call today you lifted my spirits...

May it is !

I;LL BE THERE TO!!  BRINGING MY BOAT;

I think the only way I can do this trip is to find someone in the NC/Charlotte region who will be going and bum a ride with them.  My wife lost her big money job earlier this year, so we had to sell the house with the deeded boatslip, so the boat is no longer here as well.  Just now found another house and will close on it in two weeks, so lots of turmoil on the financial front.  I have been wanting to go back to Ky. Lake for a fishing trip, and this would be perfect.

Sorry about your troubles , hope you can make it, it's going to be lots of fun !  By the way whats the name of your Good Dog ?     LOFR

His name was Hobie and lived 14 glorious, highly spoiled years, and I haven't been able to bring myself to get another dog since then.

I had a black Lab named Buddy for 11 years, he was a person trapped in a dogs body, he knew 45 different commands , won the State of Ark  frisbee dog championship , he caught 3 burglers, and use to get his own Christmas  Cards, and it was the hardest thing I ever had to do to put him to sleep, but   " He was too old and it was too far " and he left a big hole in my heart , and I still miss him and have never replaced him , so I know how you feel. Sometimes I get  to pet some good lab dogs and they seem to know that  I speak Labrador.   LOFR

Yep, I cried twice as hard over him than I did over my own parents passing away.  My wife always said that I gave him more kisses than she ever got.  I hope to one day be self-employed and work at home or in my own workplace so that I wouldn't have to leave a dog alone for 12 hours like I would have to do now.   I don't think I could get another Chocolate Lab either, it would have to be another breed.  I would always still be thinking of him.

I'm with you Marty.
I've never had a "big money" job, and my wife has no job.
My raggedy truck would never make the trip.
So I live vicariously through these guys.
God bless 'em.

We'll be thinking of ya Scruffster ........
