Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Bruce, I'm sure you have alot on your plate with raising giant Bluegill, running the website and pulling people's teeth, but have you given any thought to having a Big Bluegill convention?
There sure seems to be plenty of people who love Bluegill fishing and raising them.

That would be very interesting!!
Great idea! What a blast that would be!

One little problem! We need to find a spot to have it that's less than 100 miles from every member of Big Bluegill! :-)
Whos got the biggest fryer to cook in for everybody!!!
I'd be willing to go alot further than 100 miles, especially if it was in late winter or early spring.
Just my 2 cents, how about everyone else?
I'm in...I think we ought to travel to Musky Mod's haunts, fill a pontoon/barge, pinch the barbs and have him guide us to monster Redears and Pumpkinseeds. If the pontoon/barge is big enough we can set up a little riser - get a hot mic, and conduct seminars with rods in hand. Two birds, one stone.
I'm all for it.

How about somewhere close to Nate Herman. That is pretty central.

Bing
That would be interesting, because I wouldn't need any excuse at all to pay the Herman's for a chance to fish their place.
Traveling to Peoria would definitely expand my horizons!
One of the biggest bluegill ever came from Bing's pond! I saw the mount.
We could host the first ever Professional Bluegiller Tournament no problem! We have access to over 1000 acres of the very best private water in central Illinois! I already know exactly which lakes will host the innaugural event. They are a series of 4 lakes between 10 and 30 acres each all bordering each other with boat ramps to each. They are looong and skinny with lots of fingers and loaded with redears, hybrids, and regular bluegill.
I don't need any more convincing. Seminar, followed by tournament.
Am new here, but gotta admit, this is interesting ! steve b
