good to know

We use these all the time for tying on 1/32 & 1/16 oz. jigs for both bluegill & crappie. However, we don't use this type. I find the wire thickness to big. Instead I use the "Snap Hooks" from Netcraft. Much finer and springier wire. Very light weight. I use the size #2 which is their medium size. Works very well for this application. I never use jigs without it as I believe it gives them more "life" in the water vs. tying direct. They are a bit "challenging" (for these old eyes anyway) when using 2# test mono or fluro, but requires less re-tying, so I guess it's a wash. :)

This sounds better to me .I found the wire too thick also! Thanks!

Oh great, so there is ANOTHER clip thingie I need to get?? Ahhhhhhh!!!

Used the med. one for flyfishing ------ works good just every now and then catches grass / scum in the clip.

Mine came in today - Glad I got new glasses. They're teensy.

I was wondering about them catching debris....

As far as the tiny clips picking up debris goes, I've never found it more prevalent than the amount of debris picked up by a direct tie. If the clips pick up crap, so will a jig directly tied to the line. At least that's been my experience. It's just never been an issue for us here. We've been using them for over 20 years.

I've been using them for swapping out tiny ice jigs while ice fishing. Sure beats tying knots in the cold. The brand I use is from south bend are very small and fine. I use a bait needle to help swap out baits love them

Good to know Ken!

Used them for Ice fishing they work great, can change lures easy !
