There is a ton of info in the forum section of this site. I have read through quite a bit of the info here and a lot can be learned. Once you have read through and tried some of the techniques outlined for you there you will no doubt be better off. The other thing is to fish as often as you can. The more you fish the better your chances for catching big fish will increase.

i agree with chad 100%  very good advice

I read on a different forum guys were changing up their traditional ways.  They would tie on a very small Rapala.  The 2.75"-3" floating kind.  They were casting it in gill country and would land nothing but big bull gills!  I'm guessing the smaller ones wouldn't hit it due to it being a big enough lure for the studs to hit.  Their only complaint was catching an occassional bass.  I think it's worth a try this summer.  My 2 cents.
what forums was this you heard it from?...
Totally agree with Ray. Crank baits are the most underutilized tool when it comes to big bluegills. The horses at Richmond Mill actually hit much bigger crank baits than you'd think.
Any tips on catching big bluegills in Ohio.
