Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

does anybody have a good shad rig? a good description would be good but a pic is always better. the shad are really thick in a pond i fish and the only way my buddies and i were able to land them was snagging them with our lures, they are not really biting them just getting snagged on the hook set. i wanna go out and show up my buddies this week so if you can help me please do so.

Seems like a casting net is not an option, try looking at videos on youtube of saltwater anglers catching bait with hook & line. Thats my best suggestion.

There  is a big shad run from the ocean into our river system in SC. Lots of guys go to the Santee Cooper locks where the fish stack up and fish for them with plastic curly tail jigs. Mater of fact the run has started for this season.

Hope this helps.
