Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Wade's Ice Fishing Blade - Bluegill & Catfish through the Ice 12/28/2010

O.K. finally got tired of catching Trout and headed to Illinois to catch some Bluegills. Was surprised to catch a couple other guests.

Also caught a Crappie and a few bass. Caught more Gills than on the video, but was by myself and didn't take time to film all the fish.

Hope you find it entertaining. Sure had fun making it!

Tight Lines,
Greg

You could do it Andre!

Once you tried ice fishing.....you'd be hooked for life. Might even move to Minnesota?

I love saltwater fishing too! You got the best of both, freshwater and saltwater in sunny CA!

If everyone keeps posting pics of those big gills and Crappie out there, I might have to move myself.

Cool Video dude! It looks like fun but i don't think this San Diego born boy can do it.  You didn't even have any gloves on man!! WOW But it still looks fun

Thanks Jim!

The ice was 5-6 inches thick. Walked all over and it didn't make a sound. Of course I always drill a test hole close to shore before venturing out.

Wish I could have seen the fish I lost, but that's the way it goes sometimes. Had fun anyway.

Nice vid. How thick, er, thin, was that ice?
