Hi Bruce and thanks for running such a great forum! I'm sort of an old hand at discussion forums, and I'm tickled to find a good one on this subject finally. This one has some neat features that I haven't seen before, too. I've been wondering what the significance is of this "Friends" feature. Also, is there a personal messaging system other than leaving notes on a page? I notice that I have an inbox, but don't know just what it is for.
Thanks again, and I feel better now that my page doesn't tell me that I have no friends. ;-)
I have to tell someone since I didn't use the camera. I fished a southern MI lake this week and was able to manage 5 species of sunfish off the same dock. I read that this part of the state had spotty plants of redears. These are a fish I see many times on BB but have never caught until now. I caught warmouth,bluegill,P-seed, redear, and bass. My biggest shellcracker was about 9". Anyway, I feel cleansed now. Thanks for listening.
can it get any hotter!!!! Can we get anymore rain? Sorry Bruce. Im down to less than an hour a week on the creek. Kids startin school. Its 105 plus heat index and rainin every day for the past month. Rain dont bother me but the lighting that comes with is scary. Ive been a lil destracted cause of the garden and tryin to help out with my step dads honey dues. I have started fishing again the past few days late late in the evening. You would be proud. Im FLY FISHIN now. Know where I can get a cricket fly? haha. Hope all is well with the new business.
Heres to keepin in touch! pshhhh sudds gulp gulp gulp.... WHOOAAAA
Just outta curiosity, are you a fisheries biologist?? I got a fish&wildlife degree back in 93' from Lake Superior State Univ. and I'm not one. Your use of the scientific language has given my remaining brain cells an idea you are an edumacated man??
Thanks Bruce. I'm actually Jump n Fish on the NEFGA forums. I saw you didn't have enough longear pictures on your site, so I'd thought I'd join and contribute a few. : ) I LOVE LONGEARS.
Thanks for the invite, honored to be add as a friend. Just uploaded, instructions to the boobie fly. Hope it came out alright. In the mean time Pawhuska Lake gills are calling my name.
Take Care
Greg
Thanks Bruce, I've been a big fan of this site for a while and finally decided to join ! The Gills you guys catch are amazing ! They don't get that big were i'm from. A close friend of mine holds the VT state record and it doesn't touch the monsters you guys are catching !
First time I saw it too! I scraped the surface area disbelievingly ,thinking it was a parasite or mud or something but it was under the scales and perhaps skin though.
I released the fish realizing it was aggressive and not acting weak or in bad shape!
