Hey Greg...to be honest, I don't know what the criteria is for the 5 star, or any star, rating system. Might be a question to run by Bruce...he would know.

Hey thanks for the compliment, but in all honesty, I am not a world-class anything or anybody who is even remotely special just because I got a few articles published. I see and hear so many writers who act and claim to be something special because they have been published. I don't want to be that way...I just want to be blessed...and I am!

But thanks, all the same! Jim

Thanks Greg, I just bought the Creek Co. ODC 420 for my son. I let him know about the getting in and out issues, he says he already knows all about that, says he has been all over the net one step ahead of me.

thanks again

Thanks for the nice comment! :-) The reason this site is thriving I believe is the high caliber of members. It seems like we're all here just for fun. Thanks for checking in.

Greg...I really enjoy flyrodding myself...been into it for 35 years....I do fish "the other way" also of course...when they aren't feeding on poppers.... but feeling a gill or crappie on the end of a flyrod can't be beat!.....John

Hi Greg, Great to hear from you. Yes, we're still around..just returned from the Louisiana gulf coast and marshes. It stormed daily which made the fishing tough but we caught a few seatrout. Whether or not we're able to make it to Tallehquah depends on our schedule for next spring but rest assured we will if we can as its a great group and a fun time..thanks for dropping us a line.

I think so, I am not the best 'fly' tyer, but have much experience tying hairjigs, so I have a good feel for what is needed here....thanks Greg! Good job!

Hey Greg...I know what you mean about being computer challenged. I have only been doing it for about a year and if it weren't for my son teaching me I would have thrown in the towel!

Hey Greg...I guess the Boobie fly should be in with the tyers group, but it would be easy enough to put it on yours as well. I would love to see it!

Don't know much about the Eastern Shore on VA, but would imagine that some of those tidal creeks would have springtime yellow perch runs in Feb or March. Delaware and MD's Eastern Shore has some good runs in a variety of rivers thanks to a moratoreum that was on for several seasons. We are now allowed 10 perch a day on some waters, which might not seem like a lot, but the fish are many in the 12 to 14 in range. Stay in touch!
