Thanks Bruce, That is the Hybrid I had for a about 6 months in my aquarium, Very cool fish. Sadly the aquarium I had him in was small so I couldn't keep him for long, I plan on buying a bigger aquarum very soon and am going to put one or two 7 or 8 inch Hybrids in it and raise them till there BIG and then release them into the pond wereI caught the at.

Thanks for the welcome Bruce! Stumbled across this site along with "nefga" and thoroughly enjoyed the detailed level of some of the fishery related questions on both.

Can't wait for winter to be over with! I like open water :)

Aw shucks, Bruce! It's an honor to call you my friend! I appreciate the comments about Pond Boss and I appreciate your contributions. It just seems like yesterday when Kayla's bluegill adorned the cover...and we came to Nebraska and met up with Willis and Norm and Shorty and NEDOC and your dad and seined fish in 17 degree weather while the princess recovered in your cabin. What a life we have! And, now you embark on a new adventure. We're rootin' for ya.

Pinky's Glen is in IA, 3 mi. west of Tabor on a paved county road. I believe you take exit 25, turn left and go about 4 mi. east will get you there also. It's on the north side of the road. I hope this helps. You can ask Chad & Burrodebo about the place.

Excellent "home page!" How do I get mine to look half as stellar as the Man of Aqua's page???

I see from your recent photo that you have trout in the same pond as gills. Are they a form of bluegill managment or do they just do well in the same ponds as gill:) just wondering

Thanks Bruce, I found it by accident while I was trying to get some info on ice fishing for bluegills. I have never done that, but the DNR guys where I fish told me I should really give it a try, as it is supposedly hotter in the winter than in the spawning season. That I would have to see. Meantime, I never tire of pursuing the bluegillus maximus and I try to turn as many kids and parents on to fishing using this tasty, fiesty, beautiful fish.

Thanks, Bruce. Musky Mod highly recommended this site to me. I look forward to learning and sharing information on gills. Just ice fished yesterday and caught some nice ones...my favorite hardwater target. Thanks again.
