Thanks Dick. I have not had a chance to go fishing much the last several years. Home improvement, work and grandkids. Do a lot of web browsing and ran across this site. I am looking forward to learning more and better ways to catch bluegills. I like the fly rod and usually go out in my kayak. Any tips you can give me for fall fishing would be great. Weather here is Delaware in mid to high 70s this week, and may be in 60s next week which is more normal. Ponds i fish are 2-6' deep. so if you have any tips i would like to hear. Thanks for the welcome!
Thanks for the big welcome! I'm looking forward to gleaning all of the useful information here and hearing from other members. I've been fishing for 'gills' on and off for about 50yrs. I've just got into a technique called "ultra-ultra light" spin fishing. Using very small and light spinning rods with small '05 micro spinning reels along with 2 and 3# thin diameter mono. Makes for some fun fishing when you catch some good sized gills and trout as well as the smaller bass. Thanks again for the welcome!
Thank you sir, my wife and I fish any chance we get. Brim fishing is about all we do. I would really like to learn to use a fishfinder the correct way to locate the deeper fish.....maybe even ask as to what kind to get. Can't afford a top dollar model but need one nonetheless.Looking forward to being in BigBluegill! Thanks again.

Hi Dick, thanks for the welcome! I signed up for this blog- then spent some time away from the computer. Fortunately I was near a good lake! I'm looking forward to all the great information on this site!
I know you will just love that No. 2 rod. I have been using a 6-1/2 foot No. 2 on my trips to Burnt Mills Lake here in Va. I bought that outfit from a rod building friend with the intention of trout fishing some small streams in the mountains. O course, I live in southeastern Va and that is almost 200 miles away from here, so I rekindled my interest in Bluegills. I am sure they are fun on a 4 rod but you will really enjoy them on the 2. My other fresh water rod is a 5 and I know the difference is really great. I even caught a 15" Largemouth on the 2 rod and that was an experience!.
I don't consider myself to be an advanced fly fisher, but if I can help you out let me know. My wife and I travel a lot this time of year but I will get back to you when I can.

Thanks Dick. We were shaken up, but laughed about it now.

My mistake, but thank you for the warm welcome. It is going to be a lot of fun. Look forward to hearing from you often on the site.
Love your site. Look forward to discussions of catching bluegills and all other bream.
Thanks, Dick. I wish I would have known about this site sooner. I found it by accident while looking for some popper patterns to tie.
