Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I and the wife took a trip into south Iowa in search of some new Bluegill waters. We were carefull to stay on track and not get hung up on a single good lake for the entire trip, but keep moving. The second lake we checked out turned out to be the best of the trip, and we plan to return at some point. We also found some lakes that appeared to be almost lifeless and most all of those were devoid of vegitation from grass carp.
We stayed in local motels 2 nights when the rippin winds finally drove us back to home. lol
We are certianly looking forward to a return trip in more favorable weather conditions. Ole Mike

Hey, Ole Mike!

Great blog post!

Make sure to post a couple of those photos individually, because they're classics. I especially love the second from the top.

Nice fish!
Nice float tube and thanks for great reported!
You have lot of fun out there and I know what you mean about ripping winds. Diffcult to fish and go other side for less winds. let us know how is your fishing on your next trip!
