Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I am still trying to figure the mechanics of this site out. I get emails saying somebody made an entry but I can not find the post. I figure by the time I am 100 I will be able to navigate between blogs, forums, groups and my profile (what ever that is.) Please do not tell me that there are other places these posts can be hiding! OK, I have finished ranting. It is time for another foray into the unknown wilds of BigBlueGill.com in seach of the missing information.

Another thing about following with e-mails. I have only used it by default. Whenever I comment on a discussion or something, it automatically signs me up to get e-mails when someone else does. There is a discussion going on that I haven't commented on because I have nothing to say.......yet! But...... under the comment box in the left corner is a blue link that says Follow. I clicked on it and now, if this discussion I'm interested in but so far have nothing to say gets more interesting, I'll know about it because I'll get an e-mail.

The only picture problem I have had is trying to get the type aligned on each side of a centered picture

I can get it over and under, but not on each side.
I put the problem in this grub getter box because it stinks.

I have the same problem - also get frustrated just trying to add a photo to a reply - I end up just not replying.

I went out to try the new Snap Beans. It would have worked better if I had remembered to put them in the tackle box. Oh well, the trip morphed into a "what kind of Gulp works best" trial. I had two rods and fished each bait for 1 hour.
Red Worms got 1 nibble
Chartreuse corn got 1 nibble
Natural Grubs (single grub on hook) caught 13 or 14 fish
Natural Grubs (3 or 4 grubs on hook) caught 4 fish

I was fishing in a small pond located on MCAS Miramar. The fish were 3-5 inchers but the FA-18s taking off right over my head kept me entertained.

Conditions:
Overcast
wind light and variable
surface temp 74deg
water clarity - white jig could be seen 2 ft down

Thanks for all the input guys. I finally found the posts my emails said I had. I still think this site is proof positive that Rube Goldberg took up computer programming. On the sunny side, I picked up a couple of Snap Beans so I am going to try them out this evening.

Ike, it is just like fishing for big bluegills! It's super fun to explore, always good for a smile or two, and when you find the sweet spot (where the big ones are) you will go back for more!!

Unlike Bruce, I have not turned off e-mail notification. I have it set to e-mail me whenever anyone comments on anything I have ever commented on. If I myself commented on it, it struck some nerve in me somewhere so I would probably like for it to get on somebody elses nerves too. I love a little back and forth discussion and what better place and subjects? If you get an e-mail saying a post was made that you want to see, there should be a link in that e-mail that you can click on that will take you right to what they posted.

That thing Bruce said about checking in often, now that is the highest and best use of this site.

Thanks Bruce, that ought to help.
