0800 9/1 Morning fishing trip called due to rain

Howdy Y’all

Perfect weather to start partly sunny mild breeze and 74° couldn’t ask for better.

Real slow bite nothing but pecker fish mostly greens in the 2” to 4” with a few 1 ½” mixed in.

A few Longear babies and very few hits worth talking about, the white bass and stripers were working the surface in the cove we were in.

Had a few hotdogs taken off the hooks by pecker fish but no kitty’s

We lost a few sets of terminal tackle to snags but saved the bobbers.

About 1200 the rain swept in from the NW and started slow but built up fast we reeled in and packed out by the time we reached the van we were soaked and didn’t feel like waiting it out so called it a day.

Well dried out and snug in the house we plan for the next trip and hope for better results.
