I'm sitting here eating a 18 in. walleye and some 8 in. gills I caught thru the ice today. The gills are by far the best flavored fish. They are all delicious, but the gills rule!! JR

first ice gill
The ice was 3ish inches. Caught in 12 ft. of water off the bottom on a size 12 pink jig and a wax worm. Temp at the time was low teens. Been below zero the past few nights but because we got so much snow on the ice last wed. the freeze up is going slow. Be careful out there!!

fishing Wisconsin
can you believe its the opening weekend of deer season in WI. and I fished gills the past two days. Taking the radio and poles out this afternoon to listen to the packers and see if I can catch some supper.
