Stunted Bluegills

Hi everyone. We have a perment camper on a Northcentral Wisconsin lake. The lake is about 950 acres, 15' max depth with an average about 7' deep. It holds a few muskies, pike, walleyes, bass, crappies, and a ton of small bluegill. There is a lot of flooded timber also. You can catch crappies and bluegills all day, but crappies only run to 9" and bluegills about 5" to 7". I would pass on these smaller fish if you would catch a few bigger ones every once in a while, but you just don't here. Whats… Continue

My ole lady bought a shakespere 10ft wonderpole just because it was blue! Like an old man stuck in his ways I smerked at it just stuck it in the rod box. I fish exclusively BnM. Well I forgot to rerig my poles and after 3 lines broke off and she was taking a nap on the back of the boat it was either use hers or rerig and being that there wasnt but an hour left to fish I chose to just use hers. It was pretty stiff and had good action for bobber fishing. Now I can say I didnt like it as much as my BnMs but it still is a quality pole. Shakespere is a pretty good name brand so im sure you will be happy with it. At 20ft long remember to watch out for the folks behind you and make sure that the butt end is sealled off really good cause im sure that the end is going to see alot of water when your untangling snags from a boat. It makes for a great dock pole.
