- What type of animal is a bluegill?
- My pond is something less than .5 acres, 8 feet at the deepest, and it has gradual banks. It's a teardrop shape with a 6 foot diameter island which will be a peninsula during dry periods. I have about a dozen big stumps submerged and a few floating around, at least until the Fathead minnows are done spawning. The goal of the pond is to have trophy Redear Sunfish, no bass.
