What type of animal is a bluegill?
My pond is something less than .5 acres, 8 feet at the deepest, and it has gradual banks. It's a teardrop shape with a 6 foot diameter island which will be a peninsula during dry periods. I have about a dozen big stumps submerged and a few floating around, at least until the Fathead minnows are done spawning. The goal of the pond is to have trophy Redear Sunfish, no bass.

Thanks Bruce, I'm so busy I've only been skimming the PB forum lately and I just now realized what you started here. I'll do my best to get some pics up. Sadly, no ponds around me have BIG BLUEGILL. I may have to force people to look at little BG.
