Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

My daughter on Saturday (actually in VA; did the long day bus trip) and Sunday at a nature preserve a couple of miles from my house.

Just checked the resort's web cams:

http://www.wintergreenresort.com/Mountain-Cam/

and I still see some snow in the woods and people are still wearing hats and gloves but the open areas next to the slope that now have brown grass showing were still snow covered on Saturday. I wish the lift line had looked like that on Saturday. Wasn't awful but it certainly wasn't ski right onto the chair like today.

We've had 50's, almost 60 here for several days. Still some snow and slushy, weak ice that I hope to see gone in 2 weeks.

OK, you busted me there. It was a long bus ride - close to 200 road miles but under 130 true distance. If we had just wanted to head to the closest place that still had a lot of snow on Saturday but no resort it would have been under 70 miles true distance. The snow will be gone from everywhere but the resorts by tomorrow night at the latest. We are getting lower 70s today, upper 70s tomorrow.
