Do you love big bluegill?

Got four of em today, off eBay.
Neat little doo-dad's, the kinda stuff I love.

Spring loaded reel. You tension the spring as you pull out line, which is then set in a trigger pin.
Fish bites and the spring sets the hook.
Then the tension keeps the fish from gettin far, by pulling it close under constant tension.
You hang them from branches, docks, even jugs. They come with about 10 yards of poly line and a snap swivel

do you mount these on a board or something .What's the concept here? Never used one .

Good tips. I don't leave set hooks long term.
I place em, then fish around the area and come back.
As the day gets brighter, shift em to shaded spots.

I just wanna try em, and paid more than .75 cents. Dammit.

they are fun to fish with, Wally World sells them here for 75 cents apiece or  they come a dozen to a box. They are good at catching crappy with a minnow, or catfish, but a cat 20 pounds or over will pull the guts out of the yo-yo and get away, also if you catch a fish on it and you dont get back soon enough turtles will eat it.
