Alligator Snappers get bigger.  Nastier, as well.  Meaner.

Carl I still would love to try the taste of a snapper . When you say" flush it out ",do you mean let it bleed out after choppintg the head off ?

Saw a bunch of Eastern Painted Turtles and one Eastern Musk Turtle while fishing with Greg today . Fishing was real tough , we picked the worst day with high winds and a cold front but it was our Thursday fishing day .One dink Pickerel on of course a spinner-bait  over the weedy flats.

I talked with a guy at the Sally's field Pow Wow one year and he said there were seven cuts of meat on a snapping Turtle .I assume he meant the four legs, tail, neck and what is under the shell. I've never eaten snapping Turtle but have to admit I am curious how it tastes.
