thanks guys for the nice comments!! they are a real pretty fish im gonna do that the next time i go to my friends ponds so we can start catchin bass!!

Keep the small ones, 2-3 inches and use those. In fact get you some 12 or 14 sized hooks, tip them with a piece of worms and target a few of those longears, for bass bait.

Suspend them on a 1 or 2 size hook beneath a 2" or 3" cigar float near weeds, logs and other structure. Then keep a close eye on your pole.

Looks like one to me how many spiecies of are there of LONG EARED SUNFISH are there???

They dont bite because there are so many longears to eat. Try presenting a juvenile longear 2-3 feet under a float, near some bass habitat. Then hold on!

thanks!! ok i thought it was a longear lol there are bunches of them in this pond i fish at but the bass are 4 or 5lbsand they dont even bite!!
