Greg...Just years of practice I guess..Lol!....clear water helps for sure....this lake has a "secchi disc" rating of 20'...the camera will focus quite readily even if the fish is a few feet under the surface....I agree!...these rock bass sure do put up a tussle!...underrated fish for sure!....
