Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Fished four hours caught 6 under sized Fluke ,but nice change of pace . Used Peanut Bunker for bait .

heading down to assteague island tomorrow to do some salt fishing .always fun to catch other types of fish and in the ocean there are some really big ones . i surf fish and really enjoy it a lot. always like to catch eaters and flounders are one of the best ,nice fish ,keep on trying you will get the hang of it

Ken 18" and over is  legal to keep .

usually around 11 pm;; wading around some sand bars;; you could find several flounder;; they would bury themselves in the sand ; waitng on shrimp or something.  a good flashlight will make their eyes shine so you can spot them.  be sure to have a boat ;; REAl close to you;; those real big fish with real BIG teeth;; are looking for something to eat to!!

yes bluefish are a blast ,only did that once that I recall back in the 80's . Gotta branch out .Just too much working to pay the bills not enough time to get away and do it

wait till you get into a school of blue fish!!   hahahah  those things feed at around 20 to 30 miles an hour!!  hit like a runaway freight train!!

This one was only 13" Leo . I do very little of this kind of fishing .It was fun, and I would like to learn more salt water techniques and habits of the characters from the sea! I was glad to get 4 fish on the lighter pole ;a Quantum 6'6" med/heavy rod with a Browning reel I got used for 10 bucks ! I used 12# test on that reel .Threw 1 oz. sinkers,#2 mustad hooks.
