Thanks for the kind comment...didn't weigh it, was 15 1/2 in and released it last Feb from Piney Run after work, where all I have to do is walk down the hill and cast to some deep brush from a pier I constructed in 2000.

Hey Jim, that's a beautiful slab crappie there!!! I bet he sure put up a fight!!! Looks like he's got a tinge of gold color in him too!! I used to catch some big beautiful gold colored Slabs out of the Chick (Chickahominy Reservoir--a tidal reservoir) in Virginia (gold color comes from the tannins in the water I believe). Anyway that's a beautiful fish!!!
