Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I got about a half dozen eater-sized crappies today at Piney Run on 1/64 th oz shad darts...fish were spooky and a hard sell to bite.

Yeah, Warrior...I could see alot of spawners, some of them were big, but I had a heck of a time getting them to bite. Tried alot of differnt stuff. Happy to get what I got. Netted a 4 lb plus bass for another angler today and have seen bass to nearly 6 lbs at PR this past week. Live crawlers ontinue to be the top bass bait for those who know how to fish them. Thanks!

Hey Jim, Nice Slab Crappie there!!! I gotta admit that you're exactly right cause the fish were very spooky to bite today up in NY as well... I had a 7 species day, today but all were very small--no big guys at all (LMB, SMB, Rockbass, B-Gills, P-Seeds, 2 baby Chain Pickerels, and 1 Yellow Perch) and it seemed that I had to pull out all the stops even to get these....Definitely fun though!!! Tight Lines!!!
