Top Left you can see my float stem. Feeding small amounts regularly attracts the trout to the area and the circling trout eventually will take that hook bait (single maggot-spike) and the float down. It is a very exciting time - trout take a float fast so there is no fiddling around and they hit that bait on strikes 100% of the time - not to say they don't let go some times...
