In the Mid-Atlantic these are called golden or palomino trout. They are a stocked fish...biggest I ever saw came from Yellow Breeches Crk in PA and went 8 lb 3 oz...a little girl about 7 yrs old caught it! Cool!

Yeah shocking is the way to describe this fish. The lake a few miles from my house stocks about a month of these lighting trout and at this lake they don't get much bigger than this one. Caught on a mixture of powerbait with a heavy garlic fish attractant. This fish was a true fighter, i caught him on my 7 foot microlight bluegill rod with 2lb test. Was a fun fish i tell ya
