Hey Johnny – you know I admire your efforts to educate people. You are all about taking action. From being an international competitor to passionate advocate, you have drawn lines and made decisions. I have no problem giving shout outs.

I really do like the connection to Washington, feeding his troops from the river bank. That is an awesome vision. Another man with conviction 0 willing to risk his life for what he believed. Im certain there was no grousing over which fish they ate, either. LOL

Some cool pictures. Thanks.

George Washington's Course Fishing kit - he would use the meat lashed to the smaller hooks to catch his bait and then would hook that bait up to go after bigger fish...

There is a a whole Farmers' Almanac counter-intelligence move by the Colonists to misprint things like when crops were ready for harvest and even fish migrations. General Washington was able to fish for food to feed his starving troops - a bank angler saved our country - no wonder they made him our first President.

Colonial fish were massive compared to what we have. I have seen sites where they sell colonial gear though... (Love the shout-out)! Remember though - their floats were much better in colonial days than ours! George Washington used better hooks than many people have in their tackle box right now to save our troops from starving! He fished live bait exclusively...
