Hey Howard...the ice at DCL has been good in spots since the last week of December. It was cold up until last week and much of the lake had 10 inches of the clear, hard stuff...not 'snow ice'. However, warm temps and predicted rain may compromise the ice and shorten our already short ice fishing season up there.

That's why I fish the hot water plants alot during the winter...not much safe ice unless you travel.
