Jim thats the amaturish squirrel tail jig I tied in the photo above .I used orange thread for the head .It caught Crappie and a Bass. The white head white feather tail blue flash jig is in the photos of gills I posted .Check my November 09 Album and you'll see it.I have no idea unfortunately what make they are. I bought them at a local shop which seems to be going south with its stock. They work great and sometimes I tie my own with any feather I can find.Gonna tie some BlueJay feathers (blue and white!)
Go get those Crappies.I'm gonna try tommorrow hopefully.

Hey John, can you, or have you already, posted a nice photo of the squirrel and feather jigs that you use?

Most but not all...3 yellow perch on a Rebel wee R trollin ....1 perch on a Swedish Pimple A bass and a Crappie on a Bomber 4f Crankbait... I used a 10 oz swedish pimple and caught several gills and crappie also. I guess two thirds or more of the 41 fish were caught on feather and squirrel tail jigs.

Thanks Tommy ,actually 5 species I didnt include the photos of White and Yellow Perch
I was fortunate to hit it right ...that fallen tree I fished had it going on and I couldnt spook the fish if I tried .They were mad with hunger and I was glad to be there!
