No wonder they were towards the bottom.Up here in New Jersey word is guys are catching Trout 5 ' under the ice on tipups/Shiners. Might try it out Thursday . Hope I run into some nice Trout .Yours are great!

more towards the bottom. This lake (Laguna Niguel Lake) is a Pay lake . Pay 20 dollars and they stock 2,500 to 3,000lbs in a small lake and all the trout swim in an area the size of 2 olympic size swimming pools.
