Mad River Adventure 14 picked up today, Aug 30, 2014. Gave $400 for eveything listed.
Should get a couple years outta this one.

Nothing like those nice boats of yours, of course. But no taxes, no fees, no gas, no boat ramp needed....well, it has good points. I might actually get a little exercise, too!

Been many years since I've single-handed a canoe, even a relatively broad and stable one as this.
I got if for its capacity and the ability to cover some water. The guy who sold it said it handles best from the MIDDLE seat, using the kayak paddle. I'm liable to add a back to that one, too and have a tub of a hybrid.
My home "pond" is Lake Murray, SC. It has almost 600 miles of shoreline and nearly 60,000 acres of water surface. Many opportunities are available on a lake this size, from fly casting in the backwaters to drifting points for cats, perch, and shellcracker.
I've seen these hybrid canoes turned into daysailers, trekkers and one guy made his into a
camper. I'm not going THERE, but after yaks, toons and tubes, the added room and "legs" will be welcome.
