Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

This sucker weight almost over 3lbs this was a thick shell cracker. Caught at lake murry in san diego ca. On redworm I thought i hooked up to a bass until i saw this sucker come up. Keep it cause grandma loves shell crackers/redears I didnt wanna wait for DFG to offically weight it cause by that time i figure she was loose some ounces

You're one lucky fisherman, you've just posted four fish of a lifetime for any fisherman. The bluegill, shellcracker(my favorite fish to fish for), crappie and that nine pound bass are all lifetime trophy fish for most people. Good job! I'd like to see a few better pictures of that redear if you have any.

Beautiful fish. I would have sent that one to Mr. Overbaugh, to work his magic!
He does some incredible taxidermy work if you ever need a fish mount.
