I've gotten around to trimming the tails. They look much better with just a small nub tail, poking out the back.

Yes. It is a nod to the traditional way of attaching a kebari, but offered as a large eye for the regular guy who might not be into T.

Plus, thats the way large eye Sproat hooks come :)

The flies look great. I like the influence of the English North Country Spiders. I usually see these at about 15.00 per 1/2 dozen. Just saying
