Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

July 9 -8 hrs fishing
Dead calm occassional light breeze..Air Temp -mid 70's
Greg immediately looses a nice bass on a green lizard..on NW side near an overhangin’ tree and dock establishing a rubber worm onslaught…this pattern of 5”Berkley power worms and Jersey Riggs in motor oil, black watermelon and Gold Ice colors catches Bass all day all over the lake…many bass were dropped but way more were caught…nothing seemed to exceed 14” however. Bass also hit Rebel Wee R’s..and small spoons throughout the day.

Three Crappie suspended in 3-5' over 10-12' hit the bomber 4f..my current favorite Crank Bait has been getting Perch,Gills and Crappie.
Gills ,Bass and Crappies and one sunfish hit spoons 12th oz-8th oz spoons in six designs tipped with worms/combined with spinner and bead , plain spoon tipped with worms or plain spoon.
Got my first top water Bass of the year around 4:30 in the evening yesterday..A 12 incher on a Rebel Pop "R"...Brother Greg got several Bass and Bluegill on a Rebel Cricket in a bright green color.
Spoons:Crocodile Hammered Silver..got lost so I subbed a gold spoon for photo,tiny Hildebrandt gold,two Kastmasters 12 oz and 16th oz..Swedish Pimple 10 oz Blue Fox 8th oz
Thomas Gold 10th oz...B,C,BG,SF,WP
