@ jacob wilson: I think that is a rooster tail or similiar. I lost a couple trying to get into some cover where they seemed to be hiding in the shade. So i put on whatever small spinner i had in the box. They sure seemed to be hitting the small spinners though.

@ Zach Pierce: I am not as savvy as some on this site. I know there are all types of sunfish in that pond, this could be a hybrid. Maybe someone else that knows more than i do could help us out on that. The ones with the yellow/orange belly are very aggresive though i know that!! There are some green sunfish in there as well. I always just called these Pumpkin seeds. I dont know the difference. They are tasty though i do know that!! lol
