The pads around the launch site are thick and the water is shallow. Too much pressure here with kids fishing off the dock and shore. This is the south side of the lake. At the far north shore the pads are much thicker and a little deeper water. I tried dragging worms and creatures across them later in the morning, but no luck. Here's a pic of the north end.
