Taken on tandem Rig Hildebrandt spoon tipped with Waxworm. Not close to Personal Best 16 &1/2" 2 &1/2 lb. Autumn Fish

The rod shown is a weird rig I fixed up. It's originally a 4 piece travel rod made by eagle claw I refuse to get rid of since losing or breaking one of the pieces. I caught Jacks ,Barracudas and Gars on this rod with a Penn reel in Christiansted St .Croix many years ago.
I turned it into a 3 piece ice jigging rod and shoved foam spacers between the reel section and the second piece to firm it up..It caught 5 fish this year including a fine 15" 1 lb.6 oz.Rainbow Trout, and I’m sticking with it. I bought another eagle claw travel rod same model and caught a 20” Pickerel in a pond I hiked to last summer.
