Again that is a nice rod!!!!!  If you ever think about buying a rod, check out esp rods from norsemanoutdoors.com.  They have graphite tennessee handles, and are very sensitive.   Why back to slip rings???

Thanks for the compliment, David!  I just realized I made a mistake in the heading for the photo - this rod is already in Texas and has been fished once.  The other rod is in transit - gotta get some sleep tonight!

The handle for the rod above is made from green-dyed burl cork, and stabilized, violet-and-teal-dyed box elder burl wood.  I used to use electrical tape myself but for the past few years have been a slip-ring man.

That is a nice tennessee handle rod!!  what is the handle made of??   I like to cut the rings off and tape the reel on with electrical tape.
