Great picture...I have never seen an alligator snapping turtle caught like that before....here in minnesota we occasionally catch snappers....good eatin'!!!!

yes, that was an alligator snapper. I caught him in the Escambia river Cantonment, Floida. He put up a pretty good fight. I held him up just long enough to get a picture then I let him go.
