Thanks, Warrior. I actually think I was using the #3 Pimple, which is bigger at 1/5 th of an oz. It was the hammered finish in silver with the red flipper and treble hooks. Cast to the middle of the pond, count to 6 via 1000, and give a brisk snap-and-fall-back-retrieve, keeping a tight line on the fall back. The boys and numerous bass, took the spoon on the fall, bass being slightly heavy at the rod tip and the hybrids just smashed 'em. depth was likely 6-8 feet. Very, very strong fish. I need to learn more about the spoon gig, as it surely will take trophy fish.

Thanks, Walt. I got two fish today that I feel were about 1 1/2 pounds in weight, maybe slightly more. One was shorter but heavier and the other had a little more length. I actually needed two hands to grab these fish and could comfortably grab the lower jaw like a bass or big crappie. They were awesome! The smallest was 10.5 and the others were all over 11 inches...still can't break the 12 inch mark. All were released, as this was my 'career day' thus far on hybrids.

Amazing fish!
